Each year on Long Island, there is over 16,000 reports of child maltreatment. In 2014, the Nassau County Police Department responded to approximately 14,000 domestic violence calls.

One in three women and one in four men have been victims of domestic violence in their lifetime.

20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States. During one year, this equates to more than 10 million men and woman.

One in 6 women and one in 33 men have experience an attempted or completed rape.

The cost of intimate partner violence exceeds $5.8 billion each year.

These astounding statistics need to change.
